Murder Mystery events are party style games that are highly entertaining for all involved. These events are similar to a real-life game of Clue. During the event, the party guests/hosts will take the roles of the various suspects and will try to solve the "murder mystery" by examining all of the evidence in an attempt to identify the murderer.
The event will usually last 2–3 hours and the players use their character booklets and clues (provided by host and event planner) to delve into the background of the murder using the questions, answers, hints and clues provided. These are all designed to elicit more and more information about the murder, until the players are in a good position to suggest who they believe is the guilty party. More often than not, players will be invited (by the host) to attend the party dressed as, and ready to play the part of, one of the suspects listed in the mystery scenario.
The cost to attend a Murder Mystery will vary by event and location.
Typically, around a week before the event each attendee will be sent all of the important information about their murder mystery. The information packet will include: a general overview of the event, your assigned character, your character's biography, and ideas for costume.
The location of the event will largely depend on the size of your group. If you wish to have a small group, we could arrange the event to be in your home. However, if your group will be larger we can arrange for a larger space; such as a hotel or banquet facility.
For best results, reservations for a murder mystery should be made at least one month in advance. This will allow us to make arrangements for the event location, food to be served, assign the characters to attendees, send the attendees the event information, and allow your attendees time to find an appropriate costume.
